There are three troubling verses in the Bible I find of particular interest. They constantly serve to challenge my faith and practice. For I know that I have been, and may again be, guilty of them. So, the more I understand them, the better able I am to recognize them in myself. Recognize and avoid. Of course, many Bible verses are challenging, disturbing, disconcerting, and mysterious. But the three dealt with in this book intrigue me the most.
If I asked you for three verses that disturb you the most, your list might be different. That’s not surprising. Your task is to gain an understanding of your troubling verses and avoid the peril they represent.
We will take a reverential look at three verses that I find troubling. Knowing that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

Proverbs 9:10
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment.
Only in this way can we gain the knowledge of God and His Word that we seek. Through a respectful and fearful view of God and His Word. Only then can we act with good judgment.
The Bible is clear about one thing. These three verses were written to and for professing Christians. Therefore, we should study them, learn from them, apply them, and avoid these dangers that threaten each of us.
