The spread of ideas, new and old, is exploding at an unprecedented rate. There are so many channels of information, ideas, and thoughts available today. The True Faith must overcome the chaos and the noise these other voices make. Not every new idea is true or better than what came before it. Some ideas are hostile to the True Faith. Others tend to weaken or distort the True Faith. There are eloquent pundits of these half-truths and falsehoods. And there are multitudes more who embrace these new ideas as if they were true or wish they were true.
The determination of Truth is not a democratic process. Truth is not open to people's opinions. Because people hold to an idea or opinion, even a belief, does not make it true. It makes no difference to Truth that some people believe in the Big Bang Theory and others in Six-day Creation. There are many ideas about the origin of the universe, with champions for each. But there can be and is only one truth.
Further, there is no such thing as “your” truth and “my” truth that can both be true. We could both be wrong.
